Responsible Ownership
Sustainability is integrated into Aker’s operations, investment decisions and governance frameworks. We believe that responsible ownership and sustainable business practices are essential to building resilient companies.
Our approach is guided by clear policies, including our Sustainability Policy and Code of Conduct, which set expectations for strategy, targets and reporting across all companies. By embedding sustainability into every level of decision-making, we aim to drive performance while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Contributing to UN Global Goals
Aker has selected 10 UN Sustainability Development Goals relevant to its business. These goals focus on climate, environment, social aspects and corporate governance. Our Sustainability Statement outlines our main contributions. We set clear expectations for Aker-owned companies to align with these goals, ensuring responsible and impactful practices.
Reporting and Materiality Process
In 2024, Aker implemented a process to assess double materiality across the Aker Group and prepared the first Sustainability Statement under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
The materiality process includes assessing material impacts, risks, and opportunities within the Aker Group’s operations, alongside our upstream and downstream value chains. The material topics form the basis for our sustainability priorities as an active owner.
More information about the double materiality assessment, stakeholder dialogue and our material topics can be found in the annual report.
