Global energy demand is rising rapidly, driven by population growth, digitalization and the expansion of AI technologies. This surge is putting pressure on energy security and increasing CO₂ emissions, which must be reduced by 40% by 2030 to meet climate goals. The shift to cleaner energy and improved efficiency is critical. Aker is strategically positioned to lead in energy security, efficiency and transformation through its portfolio companies.

Artificial intelligence and digitalization are reshaping industries at an accelerating pace. Generative AI, in particular, is emerging as a transformative technology, enabling smarter decision-making, automation and innovation across sectors such as energy, manufacturing and healthcare. The global market for industrial software and digital solutions is predicted to expand significantly, driven by the need for efficiency, sustainability and data-driven operations. Aker is well-positioned to contribute to and benefit from this digital transformation through its strategic focus on technology-driven growth.

The global market for sustainable nutrition and health-related products is predicted to grow, driven by rising health awareness, expanding middle-income populations and aging demographics. Within this context, ensuring the production and supply of sustainable protein sources—such as marine biotech and ingredients—has become a critical global challenge. This situation presents attractive growth opportunities for Aker.

Globally, capital and assets under management are growing significantly. Urbanization creates economic activity and investment opportunities in urban areas, while an aging population increases the need for pension savings. A greater focus on sustainability boosts long-term demand for investments that balance returns with lower emissions.

In asset management, the real estate market also presents attractive opportunities for long-term value growth and sustained returns.
